David Alan Grier Wins Best Featured Actor in a Play at Tony Awards 2020!

David Alan Grier is a Tony winner!

The 65-year-old actor took home the first award of the night during the 2020 Tony Awards on Sunday (September 26) at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.

David won the award for Best Featured Actor in a Play for his role as Tech Sergeant Vernon C. Waters in A Soldier’s Play.

This is David‘s first Tony win after four nominations.

“To the other nominees, tough bananas! I won!” David jokingly said in his acceptance speech.

Other nominees stepping out for the awards show included Blair Underwood, Ian Barford, Jane Alexander, and Cora Vander Broek.

Armie Hammer Joins 'The Minutes' Cast at Broadway Photo Call!

Armie Hammer happily posed for a photograph with playwright Tracy Letts and his co-stars Jessie Mueller and Blair Brown while attending the photo call for their Broadway play The Minutes held at the Cort Theatre on Thursday morning (February 20) in New York City.

The 33-year-old Call Me By Your Name star was also joined by his other cast mates Austin Pendleton, Danny McCarthy, K. Todd Freeman, Jeff Still, Cliff Chamberlain, Sally Murphy and Ian Barford.

With The Minutes, Tracy Letts and Tony-winning director Anna D. Shapiro return to Broadway together for the first time since their Tony-winning sensation August: Osage County.

Performances for The Minutes begin next week on February 25 at the Cort Theatre, and officially opens on Sunday, March 15. This is a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, June 14.

Armie recently appeared on Broadway in Straight White Men, and Jessie won a Tony Award for her portrayal of Carole King in Beautiful.
