Deze soort komt in geheel Midden- Europa verspreid voor in allerlei wateren. Ook bij ons wordt zij algemeen aangetroffen , vooral in de duinen, op laagveen en rivierklei. B. fluitans ^) Lmk. Vlottende waterranon- kel (fig. 230). Voorkomen in Europa en in Nederland. Zij komt in stroomende wateren in een groot deel van Europa voor. In ons land is zij zeldzaam gevonden , het meest in de Maas en de Geul, doch ook op een paar plaatsen in den Rijn en den Krommen Rijn.
