Emily and Steve first met at a baseball and softball summer camp, where they worked together as Co-Directors during the Summer of 2013. Steve was unsuccessful in his first two attempts of getting Emily to go on a date with him, but his persistence paid off as the third try was the charm. Their relationship began shortly thereafter on July 30th, 2013. For the next two years, Emily and Steve carried on a long-distance relationship as Emily attended Manhattan College in the Bronx while Steve attended Grove City College in western Pennsylvania. Distance did indeed make the heart grow fonder as Emily and Steve were nearly inseparable during summer and semester breaks. Steve graduated from Grove City in 2015, and Emily graduated from Manhattan in 2016. The schooling for this couple did not end there, however! Emily enrolled in Columbia's Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2016, and Steve enrolled at Northern Illinois University's College of Law in 2017. After being together for five years, Steve proposed to Emily on August 15th, 2018, while the Cutlers and Vignolas were on their joint vacation at Virginia Beach. Emily graduated from Columbia in 2019 and was hired by the Hospital for Special Surgery as a physical therapist in October of the same year. After transferring in 2018, Steve graduated from Pace Law School in 2020. He currently works as a staff attorney for Shearman & Sterling. By the time the two get married, Emily and Steve will have been together for more than eight years (including a three-year-long engagement)! Emily and Steve are both humbled and truly grateful for the outflow of support they have received from family and friends during their time together so far, and look forward to celebrating their love and union to each other with everyone in September!
