politics. Wrote forward to upcoming book Wild Moments: Adventures with Animals of<br />

eclectic beat of environmental, health, medicine, science, cultural and news stories<br />
including the 1989 San Francisco earthquake, the Gulf War and key Supreme Court<br />
decisions. Had far-flung bylines ranging from Port au Prince, Haiti to Kennebunkport,<br />
Maine, and from Vladivostok in the Russian Far East to Alberta, Canada. Flew on Air<br />
Force One with two presidents.
