Ariel Winter Drops Not-So-Subtle Hints That She and Laurent Claude Gaudette Have Split

Ariel Winter has broken up with her shmoo.
The Modern Family star, 17, has dropped some big hints to her Instagram followers that her relationship with Laurent Claude Gaudette is kaput. They range from this post about how “love doesn’t die, it simply evolves” and she’s ready for “this new chapter” in her love life…
…to some not-so-subtle Beyoncé lyrics with the caption, “Start of a new week, start of a new chapter #dancinglikebeyoncemood.”
Entertainment Tonight is among the news outlets confirming through sources that the couple split.
The thing that should be celebrated with dancing Beyoncés is the fact that Winter is 17 and has been in a relationship with someone for two years. Teen love isn’t the most enduring thing, as she’s now experiencing.
Seven weeks back, when they marked their two-year anniversary, Ariel was on top of the world when it came to her romance with Gaudette, who fancies himself a “producer, singer, songwriter, and artist” who has given his “life to Jesus,” if his Instagram bio is to be believed. Along with a celebratory photo that looked like a Harlequin romance cover, the actress posted a gushing tribute to her “shmoo” with whom she had an “insane, unexplainable connection.” She even stole a line from Tom Cruise/Jerry Maguire (which for the record came out two years before she was born) writing, “You really do complete me, Laurent.”
They even had an anniversary cake with a great, big infinity symbol on it.

But enough about guys who go by three names. Winter is coming into her own. She’s halfway through her final year in high school (with the senior portrait to prove it) and has been looking at colleges, mostly on the East Coast, with plans to eventually attend law school. And her recent breast reduction surgery has her feeling confident in her own skin.
What a catch.
