Description
Erect branched stems with 4 ridges.
In the Middle Ages this honey-scented herb, together with other aromatic and flea-repelling plants, were used to stuff mattresses.
Up to the 18th century it was used as a means of curdling milk in cheese production.
Flowers
Golden yellow flowers in dense panicles.
Leaves
Whorled cluster of leaves encircle the stem. Cluster of 8-12 linear leaflets circling the stem at the same height, 15-25 mm long.
Fruits Seeds
Schizocarp: black, splits open into 2 parts, glossy and smooth.
Medical
Whole plant: to treat kidney and bladder complaints.
