Stanice Sokolnice-Telnice leží pri ulici K Nádraží na katastru obce Telnice tesne priléhající k obci Sokolnice a v tesném sousedství mesta Újezd u Brna. V roce 2015 stanice disponovala sedmi kolejemi, mohutnou stanicní budovou, nádražním skladištem a zrušeným vodojemem.

Po reorganizaci osobní železnicní dopravy v okolí Brna na pocátku 21. století a zavedení soucasném integrovaného dopravního systému se stanice Sokolnice-Telnice stala cílovou stanicí prímestských osobních vlaku na trati 300 ve smeu od Brna a soucasne frekventovaným prestupním uzlem mezi železnicní a autobusovou dopravou.

Ve stanici odbocuje jedna zajímavá vlecka do závodu na zpracování kovového odpadu, která se stácí k severu podél ulice Na Vilách a ústí do rozlehlého areálu v bažinaté lokalite mezi Sokolnicemi a Telnicí, kde v minulosti stával rozlehlý cukrovar. Stavbu jedenapulkilometrové vlecky provedla v letech 1916-1917 známá berlínská firma Orenstein & Koppel. zejména rukama válecných zajatcu v 1. svetové válce.

The station Sokolnice-Telnice lies at the street the railway station at the village Telnice fitting close to the village of Sokolnice and in the vicinity of the town Újezd ??u Brna. In 2015, the station possessed seven tracks, huge station building, railroad depot and annulled the reservoir.
