A photgrapher in the Army during WW2, Allan Arbus passed away today, he was 95 years old.

After the War he was a professional photographer and later an actor.

Perhaps best known for his portrayal as Major Sidney Freedman on the TV series MASH.

Thanks for the laughs. RIP

One of the few characters who I can watch over and over. I think the episodes with Sidney demonstrated some of the show's best writing. RIP

95? I had no idea he was that old. He did a brief part on one of the Odd Couple episodes as a hypontist, a enjoyable comedic actor.

Arbus served in the CBI, in Burma for a time. His role in MASH was great and he played it so well that Alan Alda spoke to Arbus like he really was a psychiatrist between takes. RIP sir!
