vostoktrading Posted April 23, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2013 A photgrapher in the Army during WW2, Allan Arbus passed away today, he was 95 years old. After the War he was a professional photographer and later an actor. Perhaps best known for his portrayal as Major Sidney Freedman on the TV series MASH. Thanks for the laughs. Sabrejet Posted April 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 25, 2013 95 is a fine age to reach! I always enjoyed his appearances in M*A*S*H. R.I.P.
BEAST Posted April 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted April 25, 2013 One of the few characters who I can watch over and over. I think the episodes with Sidney demonstrated some of the show's best writing. RIP
patches Posted April 25, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 25, 2013 95? I had no idea he was that old. He did a brief part on one of the Odd Couple episodes as a hypontist, a enjoyable comedic actor.
capa Posted April 25, 2013 Share #6 Posted April 25, 2013 Arbus served in the CBI, in Burma for a time. His role in MASH was great and he played it so well that Alan Alda spoke to Arbus like he really was a psychiatrist between takes. RIP sir!
