Linda Woolverton stands as an iconic figure in the world of filmmaking, renowned for her exceptional contributions to cinema and theater. As the first woman to have written an animated feature for Disney, she penned the timeless classic "Beauty and the Beast" (1991), the first animated feature to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture.
 
Her remarkable career boasts an impressive portfolio including the screenplay for "The Lion King" (1994) and additional story material for "Mulan" (1998), among others. Her talents have extended beyond the screen, as evidenced by her Tony Award nomination and Olivier Award win for adapting her own "Beauty and the Beast" screenplay into the book of the Broadway adaptation of the film.
 
In recent years, Linda has continued to captivate audiences with her screenplays for box office hits such as "Alice in Wonderland" (2010) and "Maleficent" (2014), solidifying her status as a trailblazer in the industry.
