  1. Akai Hana

Akai Hana first opened in 1986. Since opening, they have grown so much they had to relocate to a bigger location from 40 seats to 130 seats at their current location – 1173 Old Henderson Road.

Akai Hana offers a wide variety of sushi, lunch entrees, and dinner entrees. Specialty sushi selections include Veggie Hana rolls, Akai Hana rolls, Torossa rolls, and new spider rolls. You can also order party boats and sushi sashimi entrees, which include a variety of sushi and sashimi cuts on one plate.

Be sure to check out their menu before you go so you can narrow down your choices. Hours: Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

  1. The 1126

Named after its location at 1126 N. High St., The 1126 is a sushi place that’s worth the wait. Known for its happy hour and great prices, there’s something for everyone on the menu at The 1126! With soups, salads, hot appetizers, cold appetizers, hibachi, and tempura, you’ll find something delicious here.

You can order your sushi a la carte, or in combos. The Sushi Bar Special Entree is probably the best deal on the menu. Most of these come with a roll or two, sashimi, and soup and salad. The Sushi and Sashimi Combo is enough to share. We recommend the Triple 3 roll (salmon, tuna, and yellowtail with avocado) and the 1126 Roll (all the fish, king crab, and edible golden flakes).

Don’t miss their limited Happy Hour menu with sushi, apps, and $5 wine and $2 domestics weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

  1. FUSIAN

FUSIAN is known for its fast-casual sushi. With three locations, FUSIAN has an interesting selection of signature rolls including the PB +J, which is a soy wrap, white rice, and peanut butter and grape jelly. They also have Surf And Turf rolls, and Salmon Crunch rolls.

FUSIAN is focused on customized sushi, bowls, and salads. Select your protein, veggies, and toppings for an awesome poke bowl or roll. You can have precisely the meal you want, and the best part is that it’s made fresh as you order it!

There is a Fusian location in Clintonville, Grandview, and Easton. Hours vary so be sure to check their website for times at your favorite location.

  1. sushi ten

sushi ten is located in the Japan Marketplace at Kenny Centre. Its name comes from the double meaning of the word ten: “heaven” in Japanese and “best” in English.

sushi ten’s signature dish is their sushi burrito. You choose a protein, a base like rice or salad mix, add other bowl ingredients, and sauces to the sushi burrito. The sushi selections are cheap and varied. Probably the best part of Sushi 10 is their party trays. Imagine your next dinner party’s response when you show up with 55 pieces (or more!) of various sushi selections including California, salmon and spicy tuna rolls.

Located at 1159 Old Henderson Road, Sushi 10 is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

These four must-visit sushi spots in Columbus make our list because of their unique offerings – sushi burritos to party trays to happy hour combos. Don’t miss the best sushi in Columbus!
