Scott Anton

A Funeral service for Scott Anton, 45, of Dickinson will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor Lisa Lewton officiating. Burial will take place in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.


Visitation for Scott will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m , Wednesday, December 11th at Stevenson Funeral Home prior to the service.


Scott passed away Friday, December 6, 2013 at his home in Dickinson.


Scott was born October 15, 1968 in Dickinson, the son of John and Margaret (Kostelecky) Anton. He grew up and attended Dickinson High School, graduating in 1987. He later entered the Air Force Reserves where he served for four years. Scott married Dawn Ellis on July 19, 1997 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Dickinson. The couple was blessed with their daughter, Brooke on February 15, 1998. Scott felt privileged to be her stay at home Dad from that day forward. Over the years, Scott was involved with Special Olympics and he was an avid Vikings fan. Scott battled MS everyday but was never discouraged by his struggles.


Scott is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughter, Brook; five brothers, Jeff Anton, Jim (Betty) Anton, Larry (Belynda) Anton, John Anton, David Anton; three sisters, Darlene (Dave) Jilek, LaVerne (Jerry) Koppinger, and Wendy Anton, all of Dickinson; numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Anton and John Anton.
