Ed Robinson previews the third fight between Dave Ryan and John Wayne Hibbert

Dave Ryan and John Wayne Hibbert are both ready to serve up another classic when they meet for a third time on Saturday.

As part of a packed night of Sky Sports boxing from The O2 Arena, Ryan risks his Commonwealth light-welterweight title against Hibbert, the man he beat via ninth-round stoppage in May in a domestic classic.

Ryan (17-8-KO4), who was knocked down twice in the first half of that fight, has no doubt he will emerge victorious once again and rubber-stamp a clean sweep of the pair's trilogy.

The 32-year-old from Derby said: "I'm not going to approach it any differently. I'm expecting the best John Wayne Hibbert to come to the table so I'm going to be a bit cuter and not walk in to any shots.

"He was in the best shape of his life last time so I think what he's saying about nutritional problems is a load of rubbish. He'd had five fights before that fight and won them all by knockout, so why would he change his diet plan? I think it's all a load of rubbish and he's kidding himself.

"In the first fight, I walked on to a shot and was down. I got up, sucked it up. The second was on my ribs and I suffered with sore ribs, so I thought it was best to take a knee. Then I came back stronger and took him out.

"I think I'm the better boxer. I've got better strength and better power. He thinks he's almighty, better than me, but I beat him twice so how can that work? I'm going to sweep this 3-0 and that will be an end to it. Then we want Bradley Saunders, if he can make light-welterweight."

Hibbert, meanwhile, believes he has finally found the formula to end Ryan's reign as champion and is looking forward to proving he has learned lessons from an agonising defeat last time out.

"We've worked hard in the gym and worked hard on the nutrition and we're 100% ready. Last time out, people will say it's excuses, but I was at 70 per cent then and I still had Dave Ryan in all sorts of trouble. This time, they'll get me at 100 per cent and we'll see how he copes with that.

"I'm a better boxer. Dave Ryan is a big light-welterweight and strong but if he wants to have a war, I'll have a war with him. It doesn't bother me. I could fight him any way and beat him. I'll go and have an out-and-out war with him and I'll come out victorious.

"The O2 is feeling a bit like home now. It's my fourth fight here. It's one of the best arenas for boxing. I can't wait, so roll on Saturday."
