Polygonatum cryptanthum Zones 4-9 #053-001
One of the most interesting Japanese Solomon's seals. Grows to about a foot tall with arching stems. The species' name means "hidden flowers", referring to the pair of green bracts that accompanies each pair of green-tinted white flowers.
Polygonatum falcatum Zones 4-9 #053-002
One of several Japanese Solomon's seal species; this one 2 to 3 feet tall with narrow leaflets and typical creamy bell-shaped flowers. Seldom seen in the U.S. Easy.

Polygonatum lasianthum 'Kon Chiri Shima' Zones 4-9 #053-019
This variegated selection from dwarf form of Japanese native Polygonatum, 'Kon Chiri Shima' has striped variegation with golden yellow and green splashed inside. Variegations will fade out to green in summer season, so they grow very vigorous even with good variegation. Wide splead characteristics and good for ground covers in shade garden. Very rare and limited supply for fall 2006.
Polygonatum macranthum NEW! Zones 4-9 #053-046
Very rare species native in north Japan. This is one of the tallest species and good for garden plant. Limited number available for fall 2007.
Polygonatum maximowiczii NEW! Zones 4-9 #053-027
@ Large form of Polygonatum odoratum, native in Hokkaido. Limited number available for fall 2007.
Polygonatum odoratum 'Byakko' Zones 4-9 #053-015
This variegated form has a leaf that is half green and half white. The tip of the leaf is green, and part adjoining the stem white. The color is best in light shade with some morning sun and is better on larger plants. The name means "white tiger". This plant was once fairly common in Japan; I remember seeing fields of it in Ikeda grown for the cut flower trade. It nearly disappeared from cultivation and now is making a slow, pricey comeback. Limited supply for fall 2006.
Polygonatum odoratum 'Dai Koga' Zones 4-9 #053-024
This is the plant that alwaysknocks them dead in the garden. It is a new Japanese introduction that emerges screaming yellow and keeps its color through the summer. Slow to divide; we are happy to have enough to sell. It still sells for hundreds of dollars a bud in Japan. Name means "great yellow river". Limited supply for fall 2006.
Polygonatum odoratum 'Hotei' Zones 4-9 #053-025
@ Very dwarf and round leaves form of Polygonatum odoratum. Very cute and good for shade ground cover. Limited supply for fall 2007.
Polygonatum odoratum 'Koryu' Zones 4-9 #053-007
This rare selection of Solomon's seal has unusual 'wings' on the leaves. I still have no idea 'How this wings happen?'. Grows very vigorous but some dwarf characteristics. The cultivar's name 'Koryu' in Japanese means 'Dragon's Scales'. Rare and limited offering for fall 2006.
Polygonatum odoratum white splashed 'Fireworks' Zones 4-9 #053-006
This rare selection of Soloman seals has a combination of white margin and yellow striped leaves. The contrast of red stem and bright variegation is remarkably beautiful in a woodland setting. Limited supply for fall 2006.
