They share many of the same characteristics of their less easily found cousin down to their cute chubby little tail which holds water for the animal in the warm heat of their natural environments. In the wild the Leopard Gecko is terrestrial and often is found in moist hiding spots. They don’t have an aggressive nature making them a great first pet reptile. These are readily available in most big box pet stores but fancy colors and captive bred animals are harder to find in big box stores.
