Generally uncommon species that inhabits lagoon and seaward reefs. Prefers rocky reefs and seems to avoid stony corals. Feeds exclusively on small crabs and shrimps.

Für mich der schönste Feuerfisch. Leider sind nur wenige Tiere an totes Futter zu gewöhnen und wenn, dauert es meist Wochen. Vor dem Kauf sollte man sicherstellen, dass ausreichend Lebendfutter zur Verfügung steht. Viele Tiere verhungern sonst in der Eingewöhnung.

Ich halte meinen Feuerfisch seit zwei Wochen und er hat schon nach dem ersten tag gefressen ich schätze das es immer an dem Tier liegt und nicht an dem Becken oder wasserwerte.
Er ist eine Bereicherung für jedes Becken.
