SCIENTIFIC NAME - Gramma melacara

COMMON NAME - Blackcap Basslet

SIZE - 4" (10 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 30 US Gal. (114 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Frozen Brine shrimp, Mysis shrimp, and mussel meat. Varied finely chopped meaty diet.

REEF AQUARIUM COMPATIBILITY - Yes.

CAPTIVE CARE - Keep singly or in pairs. Normally not aggressive to other inhabitants. May tend to dig in substrait and spit out over corals and rock work. Caution must be taken to not overfeed this fish. Feed at least 1-2 times a day in a well maintained reef system.
