Description

Galanthus reginaeolgae is a lovely autumn-flowering snowdrop from the Taygetos Mountains of Southern Greece.

A wonderful plant, completely hardy here, outside (it has taken -17°C without damage) and its Autumn-flowering display is always a talking point – it really should be in every garden.

Culture is best in a slightly limey soil, in a south-facing sunny spot, but it is both tolerant and easy to please and will grow in light shade in acid soil if you wish. Best left to clump and this strain, which came to us from the former nursery of Cambridge Alpines, also sets fertile seed aplenty when pollinators are about in a sunny autumn.
