Quantity:
A scrambling shrub with long, biennial branches from a woody rootstock, serrated, trifoliate leaves and clusters of white flowers followed by purplish black, edible, sweet and fairly large fruits. Rubus glaucus is native to montane rainforests and cloud forests from southern Mexico to northern Bolivia between 1200 and 3500 m. It adapts well to cultivation in warm temperate climates and unlike raspberries from temperate climates, it flowers and fruits throughout the year. The fruits are superior in flavour and quality to most cultivated blackberries and raspberries and the Andean Raspberry is highly popular in Central and South America already.
