This strange, rare and highly endangered Pandanus from rainforest in New Caledonia grows a slender trunk to 4 or 6 m (13 or 20 ft.) tall. It has a spreading crown of broad, straplike leaves with lemon yellow stripes and reddish brown spines, and an elongate infructescence with large, angled, bluish keys.
