An attractive, upright shrub to about 2 m tall, native to the mountain rainforests of Tasmania. It has dense, dark green foliage and large, greenish-yellow, bottlebrush flowers, followed by woody fruit capsules with tiny seeds. It is easy in cultivation in temperate climates and will survive freezes to at least USDA zone 8.
