Widespread from tropical Africa, though southern Asia to the Pacific and northeastern Australia, this evergreen shrub or small tree grows to about 12 m tall and sports attractive, glossy green leaves and yellow to red fruits. In cultivation it is best suited to tropical climates in USDA Zones 10 and above.
