An amazing small tree fern from the montane rainforests of Borneo between 1400 and 2100 m (4600 and 6900 ft.). It forms a thin trunk rarely to 3 m (10 ft.) tall that holds a dense crown of simply pinnate leaves with broad, glossy segments that make it look like a cycad rather than a fern.
