A beautiful, moderately large Agave with broad, pale blue leaves, native to very dry, hot, rocky or sandy lowland areas of the Sonora desert in the states of California, U.S.A. and Baja California Norte and Sonora in Mexico. In cultivation it is a perfect species for the low desert, hardy to severe drought and considerable freezes.
