Description

A small sized, cool to cold growing lithophyte and epiphyte that is found in Vietnam, Myanmar, Hong Kong and Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Hiuzhou, Hainan, Xizang, Yunnan and Zheziang provinces of China growing on damp rocks near streams in shady as well as open areas or an epiphyte on rain forest trees in evergreen lowland forests or primary montane forests at elevations of 300 to 2500 meters with ovoid, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 3, ovate-oblong to linear-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the spring on a 6" to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, pendulous inflorescence that arises from the apex of a new growth before or as it develops the new leaves, with many [35], fragrant flowers.
