Dioon mejiae. This is a very tropical looking Mexican/Guatemalan cycad. They are great garden plants, but in inland areas they need to be protected from the sun.

Encephalartos lehmanii. This is a stunning "blue" Encephalartos from South Africa. The are smaller plants and are medium growers (for cycads). I highly recommend this species to most people. It does well in tropical-temperate climates, but like most South African species, it prefers drier, hotter climates than wet and tropical.
some very pretty green plants in the dirt
Encephalartos latifrons. This is a very rare, sought after and beautiful South African cycad. They are similar in appearance to Encephalartos arenarius, but the leafs are shorter, the individual leaflets tend to be smaller, they are often more limey in color, have a different cone and are much slower growing. If you can find one for sale, they are often very expensive, but they are relatively easy to grow and are definitely make a stunning addition to most landscape types.
