The coastal bird's-foot trefoil got its name for its coastal habitat, though, contrary to the name, it actually grows in a wide variety of areas, even mountains and deserts, Interestingly, the seeds of the coastal bird's-foot trefoil seem to germinate much better after being exposed to open heat, making scientists believe it has evolved after being exposed to many wildfires.
