Attalea dubia

Geoff Stein - Author & Editor

Pronunciation: at-uh-LAY-uh DOO-bee-uh

Common Name:

Attalea dubia is considered by some to be the most likely species of Attalea to make it to adulthood in California, at least based on the limited experiences we have of growing Attaleas in this state. Plumose leaves set this one apart from the few other Attalea species being tried in California. No mature palms of this Brazilian Attalea in California, yet.
