Common Name The Membraneous Zeuxine - In China Mo zhi xian zhu lan

Found in Assam, Bangladesh, the eastern Himalayas, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and New Guinea in savannah forests and open deciduous forests or swampy depressions on open grassy slopes or exposed hillsides at elevations of 50 to 1100 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with an erect stem carrying narrowly linear-lanceolate, acute to acuminate, sessile leaves that blooms in the fall through early spring on an erect, 8.8 to 19.2" [22 to 48cm] long, pubescent, several to many flowered inflorescence with a .8 to 3.6" [2 to 9 cm] long rachis carrying lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, acuminate, pubescent on the dorsal side floral bracts and subsessile flowers.
