Common Name Mrs. Benson's Thunia [English Wife of English General in Myanamar 1800's]

Flower Size 4" [10 cm]

Found in India, Myanamar and Thailand is a warm to cool growing terrestrial with a jointed stem carrying, velvety, light green, plicate leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a terminal, 2 to 6 flowered that needs a large day/night temperature difference to bloom properly. It also drops all it's leaves in the late fall and needs to have a long winter rest to avoid rotting. Resume normal care when the new growths appear.
