Found in Guerrero and Oaxaca states of Mexico on the Pacific coast as a miniature to small sized, cold growing epiphyte in wet pine-oak forests at 2000 to 2700 meters in elevation with ovoid to ellipsoid, clustered pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, lanceolate to elliptic-ligulate, acute or obtuse leaves that blooms in the winter and spring with an apical, 1 1/2 to 5" [4 to 12 cm], few [1 to 5] flowered inflorescence with resupinate, fragrant flowers.
Best grown mounted on tree fern, cold temperatures, moderately bright light and watering while growing and a lessening in the winter.
