Common Name The Japanese Pogonia - Japanese Crested Ibis Weed - Japan - Tokisou [Toki is from the name of the bird, the colour of flower looks like Toki-bird.] - In China Zhu Lan

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found from Eastern Siberia, China, Japan and Korea in sunny, wet fields, in sparse woods and along ravines as a mini-miniature sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial orchid with an erect, slender stem carrying a single, apical, sub-oblong to oblong-lanceolate leaf that blooms in the late spring on an erect, single flowered inflorescence with foliaceous, narrowly oblong to lanceolate bract.
