Common Name Micholitz's Phalaenopsis [German Orchid Collector SE Asia 1800's]

Flower Size 2 to 2.4" [5 to 6 cm]

Found in the Philippines low down on tree trunks or lianas near rivers at elevations of 50 to 900 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with fleshy, oblong to oblanceolate leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, short, .4 to 2" [1 to 5 cm] long, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying fleshy, cupped, slightly fragrant flowers .
