Common Name Fournier's Laelia [French physician and orchid enthiusiast 1800's]

Flower Size 1 to 1.2" [2.5 to 3 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais Brazil on ledges of rocky outcrops at elevations of 1100 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with narrowly conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, scoop-like, leathery, rigid, succulent, narrowly elliptic to oblong, acute, that blooms in the summer and fall on a terminal, to .6" [1.5 cm] long, simultaneously 3 to 7 flowered inflorescence.
