Common Name Trudel's Chiloschista

Flower Size 1/3" [1 cm]

Found in Thailand and Vietnam in humid, mossy, mixed and coniferous forests on mossy branches of old, dwarf, gnarled trees at low to moderate elevations and has grey green roots that bloom with an erect, fleshy, 3 1/4 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, branched, few flowered inflorescence occuring in the spring.

CAUTION The first photo is absolutely correct as it is the type photo presented by Seidenfaden for his description in 1988, Naoki Takebayashi's photo fits Seidenfaden quite well, Jenny's following flower closeup may or may not be correct.
