Found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil in wet, lower montane forests at elevations of 100 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with keeled leaves held in a fan-shape that blooms on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence, holding the flower near the base of the leaves
