Breed: Yorkshire terrier-Lhasa apso mix

Age: 1 year

Gender: Neutered male

Size: 11 pounds

Peanut’s story: Peanut is almost a year old — he was born Nov. 20, 2016 — and was surrendered to Pups and Pals when he started showing signs of epilepsy. He is on medication to control his seizures and has not had a seizure in a long time.  He will need to be on the medication for the rest of his life and will need routine follow-up veterinary care.  He will need a very patient home able to properly care for him. He doesn’t know he has special needs; he is happy and loving. He needs a home with no small children or large, rambunctious dogs. Despite his needs, he will make someone a great pet. Peanut is calm for a puppy, loves to follow his people around, knows how to sit and speak and is a joy to be around.

Adoption fee: $250

Adoption procedure: Visit Pups and Pals’ website, pupsandpals.net, for full adoption procedures and the adoption application. We ask for an application before scheduling a visit with the dog.
