This illustration shows the following structures: frontalis muscle, pericranium, potential space (loose alveolar tissue), galea aponeurotica, conjoint tendon, superficial layer of the deep temporal fascia, temporalis muscle fascia, superficial temporal fat pad, frontal branch of the facial nerve, deep layer of the deep temporal fascia, temporoparietal fascia, deep temporal fat pad, zygomatic arch, temporalis muscle, zygomatic branch of the facial nerve, buccal fat pad, parotidomasseteric fascia, parotid gland, coronoid process of the mandible, SMAS, subcutaneous fat, masseter, platysma, and skin.The illustration also demonstrates the continuity of the frontalis muscle, galea aponeurotica, temporoparietal fascia, SMAS, and platysma and the facial nerve's location.
