Prague Muzeum, Why You Need to Visit
Nestled in the heart of the Czech Republic, Prague Museum ( in Czech language - Národní muzeum )stands tall as a captivating testament to the country's illustrious past. Serving as a gateway to Czech heritage, this exceptional institution unveils a world brimming with captivating artifacts, immersive exhibitions, and mesmerising stories. From the moment you step through its grand entrance, you feel like you have been transported to an era of Elegence, beautiful art, culture, and and more. So what do you expect to see when you visit the Prague Muzeum? . I am happy to share with you my experience of this magnificent muzeum which happens to be a great place to come with kids too!
Tickets
You Can buy tickets online in advance, but beware this ticket is valid for 30 days only from the day of purchase. You can also buy a ticket on the mobile App, or on the self service machines in the building. They also have a reception area you can purchase your ticket
There is 3 main ticket categories. There is the most expensive at 350 czk ($16.10 / €14.74) which offers complete full access to the complex and also a Czech Press Photo.

I went for the Museum Complex and Cupola ticket at 250 czk ($11.50 / €10.53) and i found that to be the most value.
A HUGE plus i found is that both my kids under 15 got to enter for free. So this makes it an utlimate families activity.
A Practicalities point is that they provide a free manned cloak room for your jackets and a locker to put your belongings. Obviously do not store expensive stuff in your bags here as the lockers are see through.

History Section
This section is a journey through time that unveils the rich and diverse tapestry of the city's past. As you step into the exhibition halls, you go through different eras, from the medieval period to the roaring twenties, and beyond. You get to see first hand the intricate displays showcasing ancient artifacts, royal pieces, and relics that highlight Prague's cultural, political, and artistic significance throughout history. Each exhibit is carefully curated, allowing visitors to explore the city's evolution and understand the events that shaped its identity.
Windows into Prehistory and Miracles of Evolution
The prehistoric section of the museum proudly displays intricate fossils and ancient relics, transporting visitors to a time when dinosaurs roamed the earth and mysterious, long-extinct species thrived. Dinosaur skeletons stand tall, captivating spectators with their sheer magnitude and power. But what grabs your attention is the HUGE woolly mammoths which have been remodelled using bones discovered in Czech Republic.
But the wonders of the Prague Museum do not end with prehistory alone. A journey through time continues, leading you towards the miracles of evolution. This section of the museum celebrates the intricate biological processes that have shaped life on our planet over millions of years.
There is Intriguing displays highlight the colorful plumage of birds, marvels of camouflage in insects, and the complex symbiotic relationships that exist in nature.
What makes this museum top, is the ability for you or kids to touch and feel some of the interactive stations. This is something i did find entertaining and it keeps the visit entertaining.
Hall of Minerals
There is over 4000 rock collections gathered from all over the world to be part of the Hall of Minerals exhibition. The halls of minerals offer a mesmerising glimpse into the Earth's geological treasures. The carefully curated collection showcases a diverse range of minerals, from sparkling gemstones to intricately patterned crystals.
Cupola View
The top floor of the Museum takes you to the Cupola view. Here the view of Prague Wensclas Square and Prague New Town is incredible. You can even see as far out as Prague castle and also the Prague Old Town.
