BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WMBB) — On Thursday, a long-time Bay District teacher was arrested after investigators say they found him in possession of child pornography.
Authorities said the suspect involved was Chad Everette Wallis of Lynn Haven.
Lynn Haven Police said Wallis emailed himself more than 200 images of nude children. Investigators said he did this over a span of 10 years, starting in 2013.
According to authorities, Wallis admitted to collecting the images and sending them to himself.
Wallis is a teacher at Walsingham Academy in Panama City Beach. Bay District School officials said Wallis has been placed on leave and will not be on any campuses.
Wallis is charged with possession of child pornography and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
