Kennedia nigricans (or Black Coral Pea) is a beautiful plants endemic of Western Australia.
It belongs to Fabaceae family and it is characterized by unusual black and yellow flowers. The foliage is dark green of about 15 cm.

The total size of this vigorous climbing plant can arrive to 4 mt of height and a diameter of 6 mt.
The blooming period is from December to March. It prefers warm climate and Mediterranean areas even if has a light tollerance to cold (max -2°C).

Regarding soils, the best moisture will be a well-drained one.
Kennedia nigricans it is used for landscaping project in Mediterranean Basin to cover fences or as an unusual climbing.

Thanks to its stunning black flowers, it is a plant well sold even in Garden Centers.
