Overall: 4
Graphics are reasonable for a budget game. It's fun to explore and you can go pretty fast!
Of course, now I'm searching for those icons.
But what brings it up a few notches is the music by the iconic Rob Hubbard! Check out the inferior Atari version. You can hear the difference.
Recommended!
Great game though, still
The Speccy 'version' was actually a completely different game entirely that happened to have the same name and branding - not sure what happened there!
MissyTCat, how do you know what prawn shit tastes like?
I remember the feeling of being able to drive around wherever I liked - something that was really novel back then. I never finished it, but this game keeps me coming back for pure a nostagia fix.
8/10.
Great faux 3-d graphics for the time, and the catchy Rob Hubbard tune is instantly recognisable and timeless.
This game is an example that a lack of depth doesn't make a bad game as long as it's fun. Driving around collecting items enjoying the speed, graphics and music is a blast.
The controls are superbly done and deaths mainly feel like your own fault.
It only loses points for sometimes trying to spot the next object can become a chore. As you find them, it's best to note down their locations for next time.
8/10
Very compelling to see what you might end up picking up next.
I found that map a couple of weeks ago. It was 17 years ago since I made that map, and I was 10.
beat many hard games on the C64 (Green Beret, Paradroid) but this one was too hard and the tune heart me mentally after playing the game for abaut 3hours.. But which tune lasts for 3 Hours in a row???
i sat there for 3 hours when i got this game trying to geet round the coaster style thingy, eventually i gave up and admitted that i sucked at it...
Pixel perfect isometric motorbiking has never been this much fun! Can you collect all the upgrades to turn your bike from a moped into a super bike?
Rock hard, but good clean fun and a jolly Rob Hubbard ditty to keep you company as you play!
