Leptolebias aureoguttatus, Cruz, 1974

History

The the fish on the image next to this text is known as Leptolebias aureoguttatus but since 2016 Costa placed in a new genus Leptopanchax.

The type locality is near Bom Jesus de Iguape, Iguape State, Brazil. The location is about 190 km south of Sao Paulo.

L. aureoguttatus and L. itanhaensis are strongly related (if distinct).
