Entertainment Tonight reports that Hilton's 2023 memoir, aptly titled Paris: the Memoir, has been optioned by buzzy A24 and is being made into a miniseries. Instead of focusing on the gloss of her post-reality TV life and her subsequent stardom, Hilton's book — and, presumably, the show — will shine a light on the lesser-known side of Hilton. That means the series could detail the trauma she endured in the troubled teen industry and her time at Provo Canyon School. ET didn't mention any casting or release date for the project, which is still in early stages. "It wasn't even with a doctor, it was with a couple different staff members, where they would have us lay on the table and put their fingers inside of us. I don't know what they were doing, but it was definitely not a doctor." She went on to say that it wasn't until she was an adult that she realized that she and other students were being sexually abused. "It was really scary and something that I really had blocked out for many years, but it's coming back all the time now and I think about it," she said. "Now, looking back as an adult, that was definitely sexual abuse." Previously, Hilton opened up about the situation in her 2020 YouTube documentary, This Is Paris. Later, she advocated for the Accountability for Congregate Care Act in Washington, D.C. According to Times, Universal Health Services, which purchased Provo Canyon School in 2000, reached a $117 million settlement in 2020. In response to Hilton's allegations, UHS has stated that it "cannot comment on the operations or patient experience prior to this time."
