Hollywood movie Sex Tape, starring Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel, has been finally cleared by the revising committee of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with an 'A' certificate.

The comedy flick, which was mired in a censorship controversy in India over frontal nudity and explicit sex scenes, will now release here with significant cuts.

Committee head Nandini Sardesai has reportedly asked the makers to cut over 10 minutes of the film.

Sardesai told a leading daily, "Several scenes shown before the title of the film feature frontal nudity and blatant sexual intercourse which was definitely not beautiful; we have asked distributors to cut them out."

"The distributors were armed with a proper self-censorship sheet and they even offered to cut more scenes if needed. We have already pointed out the deletions and they have agreed to carry them out," she added.

The film was supposed to release in India in August, but CBFC denied it a certificate citing adult content. The distributors of the film then sought for a revising committee to review the decision.
