Victorian times were brought back to life in Dublin yesterday as filming continued for the crime drama 'Ripper Street'.

Union Jacks were hung from the buildings around Kings Inn in Dublin as it was made to look like London's St Paul's Cathedral for the arrival of Queen Victoria - played by actress Barbara Adair.

Other stars of the popular fictional drama filming in Dublin this week include MyAnna Buring, Jerome Flynn, Adam Rothenberg and Matthew Macfadyen.

Based in the Whitechapel area of London, 'Ripper Street' follows on from the infamous murders of Jack the Ripper, the serial killer who butchered a number of women in 1888.

The show was initially broadcast on BBC, but was dropped due to low ratings.

However, internet streaming site Amazon Prime stepped in and it was recently announced that a fourth and fifth season will be filmed.
