Leaves: triangle-diamond in shape, small and irregular lobes, ½-4 inches long, 2 ½ inches wide
Fruit/Seed: dry seed enclosed in persistent ovary shell that matures from green to brown
Height: 4-24 inches
Flowering: July - September
Habitat: shores, river banks, salt marshes, mud flats, swales
