Flower: Purple odd shaped
Leaves: coarse, densely hairy, heart-shaped with rounded tips, have long hollow stalks, up to 2 feet long and over a foot wide, becoming smaller towards the top of the stem
Fruit/Seed: head of light brown seeds with hooks
Height: 2-5 feet
Flowering: July - September
Habitat: fields, ditched, open woods, woodland edges, waste areas
