• Flower: Yellow elongated cluster
• Leaves: mostly basal, oval, tapers to winged stalk, 2½ to 8 inches long, 2¼ inches wide, densely hairy on both surfaces
• Height: 18-36 inches
• Flowering: August - October
• Habitat: open dry woods, rocky outcrops, dunes
