I really don't know if the trunk would end up with a bunch of stubby bits where the roots would be cut off. On something like a jade they just rub off when fresh/new.

This one bloomed for me late last summer. It was a very nice show.

My a. maculatus hasn't bloomed at all yet. I think it's too young a plant as it was quite small when I got it. Like my other plants that haven't bloomed yet, maybe this coming summer it will happen.

What does A. crispum look like?

Oops, sorry. Cristatus--the most common adro. I let my maculatus bloom once last summer, then I clipped all subsequent attempts because I did not want to deal with that much sugar which nearly destroyed my A. herrei "Butternut". They are interesting to photograph at least once, though.

On my cooperi the inflos were extremely long and very far from the leaves. Didn't even think it could be an issue at the time.

My herrei is slowly growing more leaves. The original leaf I bought rotted away but the rest was luckily okay.

Which herrei do you have? I think I've only lost one parent leaf so far. it didn't rot though, it just kind of shriveled. How old is the cooperi? Those stems make the plant look quite attractive.

It's marianae herrei? No leaves when I got it and now I have 8 small ones. Growth is better than molasses, I suppose.

Not sure how old the cooperi is, I got it adult sized. It's a little different than the more common cooperi I see in stores. An interesting looking plant in an different way.
