Rodriguezia venusta

Rodriguezia is not so easy. I have 2 plants of this and one has already died. I think the problem is they are not suited to either pot or plaque culture, being found mainly growing on small twigs on forest trees. Not an easy method of culture. I have several nice hybrids, however, and these are easier. Photos to follow.

Beautiful pristine white and I like that cascading bloom habit. Good growing, despite the obstacles!

Very sweet!

I have a Rodriguezia lanceolata that has been through hell in my care.
I got it from Jay Pfahl a few years ago and it still keeps on trying.
From not enough water to this last go around with scale(Arrgghh!),it's still trying to hang in there.
I've managed to kill back several promising growths, but it's still going.
Hopefully, mine will look like that eventually! :~)
These babies just have to hang in there until I get a greenhouse going!

Thanks for the words of warning - I bought two Rodriguezia species a few months ago... (venusta and lanceolata)

I don't think I've ever tried one of these. But they're sure pretty! Great job on a difficult grower!
